Santamaria Audio Visual Industries (SAVi Studios) is a multidisciplinary technical production company. Established in 2016, we provide support for all types of events. From recording and producing music, live sound and sound design to technical management and design.

Whilst we provide many different services to the arts industry, we specialise in the field of sound and strive to provide the best possible solution for your event.

We don’t just cater for live events – at SAVi Studios we also cater for music production including recording, mixing and producing music.

Other services we offer include technical design for sound and lighting as well as technical management.

Nathan Santamaria

Nathan Santamaria is a music producer, audio engineer and sound designer, working across music, dance, theatre and music theatre. Nathan has designed, developed and operated audio systems for many live events around Melbourne.  His involvement with music has seen him work with some of the best musicians in Melbourne, including Monique di Mattina, Georga Byrne, Nardia Rose and Opera Australia as well as international artists.  In 2016, Nathan started his own technical production company, SAVi Studios.  

Since starting at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Nathan has developed a keen interest in interactive and experiential sound designs.  His VCA credits include Technical Manager for Swim Between The Flags, Sound Designer for On The Town, Sound System Designer for DanceON 2019, Sound Designer and Composer for F###ING A as well as Audio Operator for Into The Woods. Outside of the VCA, Nathan has worked on a variety of events and festivals and with independent theatre groups.  Nathan has worked as Sound Design Consultant for Something Blue Productions’ ‘POST: A New Musical’ (2019) and Technical Manager for Left Of Centre Theatre Co.’s new production of ‘Delilah’ (2018) as well as Sound Designer for Whitefriars College’s productions of ‘All Shook Up’ (2019) and ‘Guys and Dolls’ (2017).  Nathan completed an internship with sound designer Kelly Ryall for Melbourne Theatre Company’s production of ‘A View From The Bridge’ (2019). He has worked with Live Nation Australia for the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ concerts in Melbourne, February 2019. Nathan received the Grace Marion Wilson Trust Scholarship for 2019 and the Orloff Family Trust Scholarship in 2018.
